Registered Staff Nurses & Graduate Development Programme
We are currently looking for Staff Nurse at the Hermitage Medical Clinic for Surgical, Medical, Orthopaedics and spinal neurosurgery, Emergency Department and ICU.

We will accept applications from Graduates to enter a Graduate Development programme.

The Hermitage Medical Clinic is a 101 bed state of the art hospital in Lucan which provides medical, surgical and advanced radiotherapy care to patients using the latest technology. We have an 8 bedded ICU/HDU and 7 Operating Theatres. Staff Nurse General Medicine, General Surgery, Neurosurgery & Palliative Care

Qualifications/ Desirable criteria:

  1. Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais.
  2. At least 2 years recent post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in an acute hospital setting with a minimum of one year recent nursing (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in the specialty area of General Medicine
  3. Possess well-developed clinical, interpersonal, organisational and IT skills

Neurosurgical services are expanding on St Luke’s Ward; opportunities are now available for competent Neurosurgical Nurses to join us in this exciting development.

Qualifications/Desirable Criteria

  • Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais
  • At Least 3 years post reg experience in the acute setting. 1 year experience in an acute Neurosurgery setting.
  • A recognised post registration Nursing Course in Neurosurgery is desirable but not essential.

Role Summary
As a member of the front line Nursing team, the Staff Nurse in HDU/ICU will be required to work as a member of the nursing team and perform duties as assigned by the Director of
Nursing. The Staff Nurse will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, quality patient care initiatives and facilitate effective interpersonal communication with colleagues in the Department and in the hospital. The Staff Nurse will participate in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients using evidence-based practice and adjusting resources to ensure continuity of care.

Clinical Nurse Manager II Surgical Ward – Fulltime

Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2)
Professionally accountable to: Director of Nursing
Key working relationships: Clinical Nurse Managers, Medical Staff,Staff Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Administration staff, Student Nurses and all hospital staff.
Key Reporting relationship: Chief Executive Officer and Director of NursingRole Summary
As a key member of the front line management team, the CNM2 will demonstrate managerial and leadership skills and facilitate effective communication with colleagues in the Hermitage Medical Clinic (HMC).

The candidate is responsible for the maintenance of a high standard of patient care which is achieved through professional education and development of all nursing staff, acting as an expert practitioner, participating in the formation of organisational objectives linking nursing with its goals, managing resources and facilitating communication.

The CNM 2 will ensure that direct comprehensive nursing care to patients is evidence-based and will adjust available resources to ensure continuity of care.
The CNM 2 will communicate and co-operate with the medical, nursing and multidisciplinary staff teams within the HMC in the delivery of quality Surgical, Medical continuing care for patients.
The CNM 2 will manage Nursing, Healthcare Assistants and administration staff on their Unit and will partake in the weekend On-call Rota.
