The Day Care Department offers a wide variety of services which include Endoscopy, Day Case and Minor Surgery procedures. All services are offered Monday to Friday through the consultants affiliated with the Hermitage Medical Clinic.
Procedures available include:
Gastroscopy
Gastroscopy (OGD) is a test which allows the consultant to look directly at the lining of the upper gastrointestinal tract. Gastroscopy is performed under sedation and does not require an anaesthetic.
Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy is a procedure which allows the consultant to look directly at the lining of the large bowel.

Bronchoscopy
Bronchoscopy is the direct inspection and examination of the larynx, trachea (the windpipe) and bronchi (branches of the airways) and into some areas of the lungs through either a flexible fibre optic bronchoscope or a rigid bronchoscope. The fibre optic scope is used more frequently in current practice
