Discharge Planner Part-time

(Circa 15hrs per week- trial basis until December 2010)

Reporting To:

Clinical Nurse Manager II

Role Summary

As part of the multidisciplinary team, the discharge planner will liaise with the medical and nursing teams to move the patient along the continuum of care pathway.
He/she must be able to provide comprehensive discharge planning so as to improve health outcomes for all medical and surgical patients.

Qualifications and Essential Skills

  • Registered Nurse with ABA
  • Must be able to determine level of independence of patients, i.e. assess activities of daily living
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a working knowledge of existing community services.

Resident Medical Officer

Role summary
We have a requirement for a highly motivated medical professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to provide inpatient care to both medical and surgical patients.

RIS/PACS MANAGER

Permanent Full Time role

Role summary
The RIS /PACS manager will be responsible for managing the distribution, storage and the display of diagnostic images within the diagnostic imaging department and throughout the whole hospital. In addition, the manager is responsible for providing RIS/PACS training to radiology and hospital staff according to their respective needs. Monitoring and improving the performance of the clinic's RIS/PACS system is a key responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • BSc or equivalent Qualification in Radiography. Overseas Qualifications must be validated by the Department of Health and Children
  • Minimum three years RIS/PACS experience
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative

CLINICAL SPECIALIST RADIATION THERAPIST

Permanent full time

Role Summary

  • Treatment of patients and treatment planning of patients
  • Supervising, and acting as an information resource for, colleagues
  • The development and promotion of high standards of clinical practice and skills in the area of specialty
  • Contributing to a structured process for education of colleagues, post graduates and other health professionals
  • Involvement in research and audit activities

Qualifications and Essential Skills

  • Possess an IIRRT validated qualification in Radiation Therapy
  • Have had at least six years satisfactory post qualification experience and have proven clinical expertise
  • Have experience of or be prepared to participate in research
  • Relevant post-graduate education is desirable

QUALITY/ACCREDITATION MANAGER

Role Summary

To promote, direct and lead the preparation of the Hermitage Medical Clinic in maintaining JCI Accreditation. To celebrate achievement and to promote continuous survey readiness.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • A proven track record in a quality improvement in healthcare or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable clinical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Operational familiarity with the health sector in Ireland/internationally
  • Knowledge of or experience of the deployment and compliance to JCI and HIQA standards in healthcare
  • Significant demonstrable experience of information management, analytical, administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent IT Skills including document management systems such as Q-Pulse.
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable experience of leading projects

Clinical Nurse Manager II - St Johns Ward (Surgical)

Qualifications/Experience:

1.Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais.
2.At least 3years recent post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in an acute hospital setting with a minimum of three years recent nursing (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in a relevant area
3.Hold a management qualification or be in pursuit of same.
4.Previous management experience would be an advantage.
5.Possess well-developed leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills.
6.Computer skills.


Contracts Manager (initial 6 month contract)

REPORTING TO:

Chief Financial Officer

ROLE SUMMARY:

Lead negotiations with key suppliers to obtain improved pricing and service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Self starter with ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent computer and data analysis skills;
  • Proven track record in procurement;

Ideally have experience of purchasing medical and hospital consumables

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Quantify existing procurement trends; outlining key suppliers, existing pricing, spend year to date and usage quantities;
  • Lead negotiations with key suppliers to obtain improved pricing and service;
  • Be responsible for negotiation and management of all external procurement and contractual arrangements;
  • Liaise with key stakeholders (e.g. Finance, MM Department, Infection Control etc.);
  • Provide market management information to inform purchasing decisions;
  • Structure procurement contracts including the development and maintenance of standard contract documentation in accordance with best practice;
  • Other tasks assigned by Management as appropriate

Cardiac Catheterisation Lab Manager CNM2

The Cardiac Cath Lab Manager is responsible for the maintenance of a high standard of patient care which is achieved through professional leadership, management, education and development of all nursing staff, acting as an expert practitioner, participating in the formation of organisational objectives linking nursing with it's goals, managing resources and facilitating communication.

Qualifications / Experience:
  1. Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais.
  2. It is desirable to have completed a recognised post-registration course in a nursing speciality relevant to the particular post and / or in management.
  3. A minimum of three year's experience in a relevant environment.
  4. Competence in the use of information technology.
