Admin Support to Quality Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a successful candidate to take up this role, reporting to the Hermitage Quality and Risk Manager. While providing administrative support the post holder would have the opportunity to

 

  • Participate in the implementation of a hospital quality management system.
  • Assist is the development and implementation of quality management software.
  • Participate in the gathering and presentation of organisational key performance indicators.
  • Participate in the gathering, tracking and trending of complaints, adverse occurrences and risk register.
  •  

The role would ideally be fulltime 39 hours a week, Monday to Friday, ideally for a 9 month period. This is negotiable and we will be happy to facilitate some degree of part time working. While the internship would be unpaid, we would provide subsidised lunch daily and free parking or a weekly travel card.

 

This role would suit an experienced candidate who wishes to gain this specific experience or may suit someone lacking in experience but able to demonstrate good attention to detail, admin skills and an aptitude for this field.

Resident Medical Officer

Reporting to: Chief Resident Medical Officer and Medical Director

Qualifications:

  • (|on( MB BCh BAO or equivalent recognised by the Irish Medical Council
  • Full registration with the Irish Medical Council
  • BLS / ACLS mandatory
  • Experience at a senior level – a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) reports to the Chief Resident Medical Officer and Medical Director and plays a key role in building and maintaining relationships between the Director of
Nursing, Director of Clinical Services, Hospital Management, Consultants, Medical, Nursing Staff and the Multidisciplinary Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To ensure the highest standards of patient care for all patients attending/admitted to the Hermitage Medical Clinic.
  • To establish and maintain teamwork and co-operation with the multidisciplinary team i.e. Nursing, Physiotherapy, Radiology etc. to ensure maximum benefit from co-ordinated care.
  • To assist the Chief RMO to maintain and develop the highest evidence based clinical and professional standards.
  • To keep abreast of new developments, skills, technology, and current literature in order to initiate and respond to changes in the work environment, e.g. data analysis, clinical audit, research, etc. And to meet current CME requirements
  • To fully embrace and utilise the Hospitals Information and Communications Technology including Meditech, PACS and any and all other applications.
  • To keep policies and procedures under review, with regular audit, and revise as required in the light of changing service needs.
  • The RMO works in co-operation with the Consultants and the Nursing team in all matters relating to patient care.

MRI Radiographers

ROLE SUMMARY:

Immediate applications are required at Hermitage Medical Clinic for MRI Radiographers to deliver an evening and weekend scheduled service.

Availability would be required from 8pm 12:00am midnight Monday to Friday. On weekends two sessions are available from 8:30am to 1:30pm and 1:30pm to 7:00pm.

Payment will be offered at an hourly/sessional rate or on a salaried basis.

Service requirements are subjected to change and the above constitutes our requirements at present.

Full training will be provided for Hermitage Medical Clinic equipment.

Candidates are required to have appropriate MRI experience, and expertise, have the ability to work autonomously while also be part of the team, have excellent customer care skills with a good understanding of the private hospital environment.

Basic Grade Radiation Therapists

ROLE SUMMARY:

Radiotherapy Services Manager or designated Deputy and with day-to-day supervision by a Clinical Specialist or Senior Radiation Therapist.

ROLE SUMMARY:

  • Delivering high standards of clinical practice and skills in Radiotherapy
  • Participating in a structured process for education of colleagues, post graduates and other health professionals
  • Interest in research and audit activities
  • Acting as an information resource for junior colleagues locally
  • Treatment of patients and treatment planning of patients

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Senior Radiation Therapists

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are searching for dynamic Senior Radiation therapists (Fulltime Permanent & Part time (16hrs)). You will join our team of staff in providing optimal care to our patients in a department equipped with modern
technologies.

Essential Criteria
- BSc in Radiotherapy or equivalent qualification
- Have had at least three years satisfactory post qualification experience
- Clinical experience of all aspects of radiotherapy

Decontamination Services Manager

Reporting to: Senior Executive or Designee

ROLE SUMMARY:

The position requires a strategic approach to the development of services and structures, embracing continuous quality improvement and the management of changes necessary to achieve organisational objectives. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a decontamination service for reusable invasive medical devices to all clinical areas within the hospital. The appointee will be accountable for the work performance of staff and the quality of product issued by the department. The development and implementation of a quality management system in line with current legislation is a key area of the job. The post holder will also be expected to develop new initiatives to address the changing Healthcare environment. The appointee will demonstrate proactive management and leadership skills in the delivery of a reliable professional service in line with the hospitals strategic framework.

Clinical Nurse Manager I Emergency Department

Applicants are required to

  1. Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais
  2. Have at least 5 years recent post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in an acute hospital setting with a minimum of three years recent nursing (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in the specialty area of ED or similar.
  3. Hold a recognised post-registration nursing course relevant to emergency department nursing or be working towards it
  4. Hold an up to date ACLS qualification or be in pursuit of same and be willing to become a BLS Trainer for Hermitage
  5. Demonstrate excellent clinical skills and expertise
  6. Possess well-developed interpersonal, planning and organisation, team leading and staff management skills
  7. Be computer literate, be a meditech champion and have the ability to influence and implement IT solutions in the ED environment.

Senior Radiographer

Permanent Full-time Post

REPORTING TO:
Radiology Services Manager

ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Radiography Services Manager and his/ her deputy the position of Senior Radiographer requires an ability to lead and manage service delivery on a day to day basis within general radiology areas together with supporting the Clinical Specialist Radiographers in specialised area where in-service and/or post-graduate training has been completed. An ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and willingness to undertake such additional duties as may be assigned from time to time is required.

Radiographer

Permanent Full-time Post

Reports to: Senior, Clinical Specialists, Deputy RSM and RSM.
Responsible to: Radiography Services Manager

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Degree in Diagnostic Radiography
Minimum 2 years General Radiography experience is desirable
Qualification Validated by the Irish Institute of Radiography (www.iir.ie)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To undertake Radiographic and Imaging Examinations as required.
  • To maintain a high standard of Radiography.
  • To take part in on-call services and extended working day as required.
  • To ensure that the three principles of radiation protection, namely justification, optimisation (ALARA) and dose constraints / limits are adhered to. To be familiar with and adhere to SI No. 478 of 2002.
  • To take part in routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures. To report any defects or problems to RSM or deputy.
  • To follow directions of RSM, Clinical Specialist radiographer, Senior Radiographer or Consultant Radiologists where applicable.
  • To follow departmental protocols and procedures at all times.
  • To keep up to date with current techniques and developments in Radiographic and Imaging procedures and to take part in in-service training as required. To actively participate in Continuing Professional Development.
  • To take responsibility for the general cleanliness, tidiness and safety of the Department, with specific responsibility for their own work area. To familiarise themselves with current infection control procedures.
  • To be familiar with, and abide by, all Health and Safety Rules and recommendations.
  • To report all defects and occurrences, which may affect safety, to the appropriate senior member of staff.
  • To provide a quality service for patients by ensuring that every patient is treated as an individual in terms of courtesy, kindness, efficiency and confidentiality.
  • To maintain good working relationships with colleagues and with non-radiographic staff, both in Radiology and throughout the Hospital. Note: This job description will be subject to review in the light of changing circumstances and may include other duties and responsibilities as may be determined in consultation with the job holder.

Staff Nurse – ICU & HDU

Professionally accountable to: Director of Nursing

Key working relationships: Clinical Nurse Manager HDU/ICU, Consultant Staff, Nurses, Administration and all hospital staff.

Key reporting relationships: Director of Nursing and Clinical Nurse Manager HDU/ICU

Role Summary
As a member of the front line Nursing team, the Staff Nurse in HDU/ICU will be required to work as a member of the nursing team and perform duties as assigned by the Director of
Nursing. The Staff Nurse will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, quality patient care initiatives and facilitate effective interpersonal communication with colleagues in the Department and in the hospital. The Staff Nurse will participate in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients using evidence-based practice and adjusting resources to ensure continuity of care.

CNM II Oncology Services

Qualifications/ Desirable criteria:

  1. Be registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais.
  2. At least 2 years recent post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in an acute hospital setting with a minimum of one year recent nursing (full-time or equivalent hours part-time) in the specialty area of Oncology or similar.
  3. Possess well-developed clinical, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  4. Computer skills
  5. A recognised post-registration nursing course relevant to Oncology is essential
