Mr.Al Sahaf graduated from college of medicine Baghdad university in 1994, on completion of internship he moved to Jordan to complete a 5 year higher surgical training programme obtaining both the board certificate and RCSI fellowship FRCSI, he moved to Ireland in 2002 and completed the RCSI Irish surgical training programme, he also completed an MD from university college cork in 2009, he was awarded his RCSI intercollegiate specialty fellowship certificate in 2011. On completion of training in 2010 Mr. Al Sahaf was appointed as a consultant in the north east health group overlooking a busy practice covering 3 hospitals Our Lady of Lourdes (Drogheda), Our lady’s (Navan) and Louth county hospital. Mr. Al Sahaf’s practice is in the field of general and gastrointestinal surgery including laparoscopy and endoscopy. In 2013 Mr. Al Sahaf was appointed as a consultant surgeon in Naas general hospital and Tallaght university hospital. In addition to his surgical clinical work he’s involved in training junior doctors and teaching Trinity college medical students, he became a senior lecturer in trinity college in 2018. Degrees M.B.ch.B, Msc,M.D,FRCSI, FRCS, Senior clinical lecturer Trinity college.
